About the Role
We’re hiring a Backend Engineer to build scalable, privacy-first systems that handle sensitive data securely. You’ll work on backend services powering privacy-preserving products, collaborating closely with cryptography and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Golang
- Develop APIs and distributed systems focused on data privacy and security
- Implement secure data processing pipelines and storage systems
- Collaborate with cryptography teams to integrate privacy-preserving technologies
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of services
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Golang
- Strong experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, NoSQL systems like Cassandra or MongoDB)
- Understanding of security best practices in backend development
Nice to Have
- Experience with privacy technologies (e.g., zero-knowledge proofs, MPC)
- Background in security engineering or applied cryptography
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to high-throughput data processing systems
